Who is behind eestihinnad.ee, where the prices come from, and how we make money.
What we do
We compare grocery, pharmacy, beauty and pet product prices across 24 Estonian online shops — over 100,000 products in one place. We also show the electricity exchange price and fuel prices at filling stations. When several shops sell the same product, we show you straight away where it is cheaper.
Why we built it
The same basket costs different amounts in different shops, but checking that means keeping four online shops open at once and comparing by hand. We do that work and show you the difference at a glance.
Where the prices come from
We collect prices from each shop's own public online store, several times a day. We sell nothing ourselves and hold no stock — we show the shop's price and send you to the shop. Matching the same product across shops is done by barcode and product name. When we are not sure, we would rather leave a match unmade: a wrong match is worse than a missing one.
How fresh the prices are
We go through most shops daily and some less often. Every price says when it was last checked. The shop's own price is what applies at the moment of purchase — if you spot a difference, please tell us.
